Project Overview

25,000 Participants. One of the Largest Heart Walks in the Country.

The Dallas Heart Walk is built around three very different audiences moving through the same site at once: corporate fundraising teams, individual walkers, and heart disease survivors being recognized on stage, plus the American Heart Association's health programming running alongside all of it. Two nights before the walk, roughly 300 top donors and corporate partners are recognized at a dedicated VIP Night, with food trucks, a set from the Limelight Band, and a drone show closing out the evening.

ESW manages the full operational infrastructure on behalf of the AHA: site design, volunteer coordination, sponsor and vendor activations, donor VIP management, and public safety planning at Levy Event Plaza in Irving.

The Heart Walk is the American Heart Association's signature annual fundraising walk, held in cities nationwide. Dallas Heart Walk, held at Levy Event Plaza in Irving, has grown into one of the country's largest, driven by substantial corporate participation from the DFW business community.

How We Made It Happen

25,000 People. One Seamless Operation.

Managing a walk this size at Levy Event Plaza takes detailed site planning: participant flow, sponsor activation placement, VIP zones, and volunteer coverage across the full footprint. ESW coordinates city permits, designs the venue layout, manages 50+ sponsor and vendor activations, and deploys volunteer teams site-wide, serving corporate fundraising teams, individual walkers, and heart disease survivors, each with different on-site needs.

Site Design & LayoutFull venue layout across the event footprint: participant flow, sponsor activation zones, VIP areas, and pedestrian access planned from the ground up.

The size and scale of the Dallas Heart Walk is really something you have to experience firsthand to understand. Nothing gives our team more pride than working closely with the AHA and the hundreds of staff and volunteers to pull off a flawless, meaningful morning for all involved.

The Heart Walk is one of the events on our calendar with the clearest sense of purpose: 25,000 people showing up for a cause. Being trusted with an event at this scale, year after year, is something the whole team takes seriously.

With three different groups moving through one footprint, including teams, individual walkers, and survivors being recognized, the layout has to work for all of them at once. Getting that right is most of the job before anyone even shows up.

The Result

The Dallas Heart Walk continues to draw major corporate participation each year at Levy Event Plaza in Irving, a function of the same site design, permitting, and volunteer deployment process being rebuilt reliably each time, across a footprint that has to serve corporate teams, individual walkers, and survivor recognition simultaneously, including the VIP Night held two nights before the event.
