Project Overview

A 3.5-Mile Corporate Run Through the Dallas Arts District, Employees Only.

The JPMorganChase Corporate Challenge is a 3.5-mile non-competitive run open exclusively to company employees, one stop on a global series that runs in 16 locations across six continents, 8 of them in the U.S. Each city's edition supports its own local beneficiary; in Dallas, that's United Way of Metropolitan Dallas. Teams register by company, run together through downtown, and stay for a post-race concert. Road closures don't go up until 5 p.m., the race starts at 7:30 p.m., and the whole site is torn down by 11 p.m.

ESW works alongside On Board Experiential as production partner on the Dallas edition. ESW's scope covers venue design, site layout, event build-out and teardown, city permitting, course logistics, corporate team registration, PA production, and public safety coordination. The post-race concert is also within our scope.

For nearly 50 years, JPMorganChase has hosted the Corporate Challenge in locations across the world, from New York City to China to Australia. The global series now runs in 16 locations across six continents, with more than 6,900 companies and 220,000 runners participating worldwide, and each city's edition is paired with a local beneficiary rather than a single global one. Dallas-Fort Worth's history with the series is its own story: the event ran here from 2001 to 2004 before a long hiatus, and 2025 marked its fourth running in DFW in the current era. Registration in Dallas has grown nearly 95% since 2022.

When you are overseeing the entire event footprint from above, you really see how all the moving parts connect. From that high level vantage point, our main goal is keeping the big picture operations calm and steady. It is incredible to watch an active urban space transform into a world class celebration, where thousands of professionals can step right out of the office and seamlessly transition from the race to the post race concert.

Managing the minute by minute timing of a midweek evening race and concert is an active, high energy puzzle. But the real reward is watching the corporate teams interact in the village after the race. It is a wonderful honor to produce an event where coworkers can step away from their desks, enjoy the party, and build stronger, more meaningful relationships with each other.

Transforming a busy downtown area into a premium corporate village midweek requires a completely different playbook. We are simultaneously navigating active rush hour traffic, executing precise road closures, and managing the arrival of massive corporate teams. Our focus on the ground is delivering a high end experience, from the beautiful custom fixtures to the expansive hospitality and food zones, so the participants just get to enjoy the party.

The Result

ESW partners with On Board Experiential on the JPMorganChase Corporate Challenge, managing venue design, site layout, event build-out, permitting, course setup, and the post-race concert, all inside a single-evening operational window. 73 DFW companies fielded teams in 2026, generated for United Way of Metropolitan Dallas' workforce and financial-stability programs, the beneficiary for the Dallas edition specifically.
